The chairman of Istanbul powerhouse football club Galatasaray on Monday was rushed to the hospital for “urgent” surgery, said club officials, APA-Sport reports.

Mustafa Cengiz was readmitted to the hospital for the operation after successful brain surgery earlier this month.

The 70-year-old businessman was discharged from the hospital last week after recuperating from the brain surgery.

This is a developing story. Updates will follow.
