New composition of Azerbaijani delegation to BSECO PA approved

The 55th plenary meeting of the General Session of Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization’s Parliamentary Assembly (BSECO PA) was held in online format on August 6, the Press and public relations department of the Azerbaijani Parliament told APA.

The event was attended by the General secretary of BSECO Parliamentary Assembly Asef Hajiyev and representatives of member countries of the organization – Azerbaijan, Russia, Turkey, Georgia, Ukraine, Moldova, Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, Serbia, and Armenia.

Azerbaijan was represented at the meeting by members of the Azerbaijani Parliament – deputy chairman of BSECO PA, head of the Azerbaijani delegation to the organization Eldar Guliyev and member of the delegation Eldar Ibrahimov.

The opening of the plenary session took place. The present chairman of BSECO PA, chairman of the Georgian Parliament Archil Talakvadze welcomed the participants with introductory speech.

 

The Auditor’s Report for financial year of 2019 was presented at the meeting. The issue of the date, venue and agenda of the autumn session of the General Assembly in 2020 was also considered.

At the plenary meeting held under chairmanship of deputy chairman of BSECO PA, head of the Azerbaijani delegation to the organization Eldar Guliyev, the agenda of the event was adopted, the minutes of the 54th plenary session held in Bulgaria’s capital Sofia during November 20-21, 2019 was approved, the report about organization’s activity was heard.

During discussion of the issue of election of members of delegations, the new composition of the Azerbaijani delegation consisting of 6 members was approved. Previously our delegation consisted of 5 members.

The information about activity of Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization (BSECO) was presented at the meeting. 

The deputy chairmen of BSECO Parliamentary Assembly were elected at the meeting.

 

The chairmanship over the organization was transferred to Greece by the rotation method in the end of the meeting.
