Azerbaijan’s MES establishes acceptance and sorting stations at border with Georgia - VIDEO

According to the task assigned by the Azerbaijani Government in order to prevent the threat of spreading of coronavirus (COVID-19) on the territory of the Azerbaijan Republic, the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) of Azerbaijan has mounted the acceptance and sorting stations at the border with the neighboring Georgia, near the “Girmizi korpu” (Red brick) border crossing point situated on the territory of Gazakh region and “Mazimchay” border crossing point situated on the territory of Balaken region, the MES told APA.

At the stations functioning round-the-clock, the MES’ professional medical brigade equipped with all kinds of up-to-date medical equipment is working.

The persons having passed initial medical examination at the border crossing points will be repeatedly examined at these stations, and the evacuation to specially allocated relevant local hospital of the persons with any detected suspicious symptom and the temporary stay under quarantine regime in tents of the persons not having the detected suspicious symptoms will be ensured.

Every acceptance and sorting station consisting of 20 tents has conditions for accommodation of 100 persons at the same time. All conditions for normal living have been created at the stations, there is no any problem regarding nutrition, provision with means of hygiene, heating of tents, etc. and the sanitary and hygienic requirements have been fully met. If necessary, the number of tents can be increased in a short time.
