Massachusets-based Moderna's coronavirus vaccine is showing promising results in studies on mice, the National Institutes of Health said on Wednesday, APA reports citing Teletrader.

According to the abstract of the study, the vaccine testing shows that it is inducing "potent neutralizing antibody responses" to COVID-19 and providing protection against the infection in the lungs and noses of mice without evidence of immunopathology.

The vaccine is currently in the phase 3 efficacy evaluation.
